Dental Bridge?

Is it true that a Dental Bridge is not recommended since it can cause cavity and eventually extraction of the two teeth beside it?

Dental Bridge?
If the bridge is made properly, and by this I mean the prep done by the dentist and the bridge itself, it should last a long time...

As long as no decay is left on the abutment teeth and the cement used to keep it in place 'seals' it, there shouldn't be any problems down the road.

Alot of dentists are pushing implants right now, which is fine if you can afford it and if you are a candidate for them.... but a dental bridge is certainly an option, and may be less expensive in the long run.

~hope this helped.
Reply:Only if you have bad dental practices.

You are suppose to brush and floss everytime.
Reply:Bridges aren't NOT recommended, unless you don't plan on taking care of your teeth. If you keep up regular visits, brush and floss (and FLOSS UNDER THE BRIDGE) daily, as well as get regular x-rays (maybe yearly or so) done of the bridge that will be your best bet to taking care of the bridge and preventing any cavities that form around it.

As long as you keep your appointments regular and do regular cleaning around it, it should be fine assuming the dentist does a good job of cementing it on to prevent leaks around it.
