Dental Bridge?

Just found out I may need a Dental Bridge,

I have been told I should shop around for best price/quality work.

Any suggestions of where?

What am I looking at for price and work to be done?

Dental Bridge?
If you are looking for a low price, just use the Yellow Pages. Anyone willing to give a low-ball price on a bridge over the phone without seeing what conditions exist in your mouth deserves your patronage.

How in the WORLD are you going to shop around for quality???

§

I can't give you a price over the internet, because I don't know how many teeth you have missing, the condition of the teeth adjacent to the empty space, the presence or condition of the teeth in the arch opposite the missing teeth, and about a dozen other things that have to be considered first.
Reply:I have 3 dental bridges; each one has been replaced at least once. They are permanently attached to my teeth, and they are fairly expensive. They will last for 7-20+ years, depending on how you take care of them. Prices will vary widely depending on which part of the U.S you live in. Anywhere from $250.00-$450 (or more) PER tooth. Most dentists will work with you on a payment plan. There are removable bridges, but most people do not wear them consistently, thereby negating the reason for getting one in the first place. If you are have confidence in your dentist, that is the place to begin your search. He/she will grind your existing teeth down and make impressions for the bridges. He will then make a temporary bridge while the permanent one is being made. This allows you some time to get accustomed to having the bridge in your mouth. GOOD LUCK!!
Reply:You should really be looking for a goos dentist if u don't have one because u can find a very inexpensive price and the work will not be done right. Like the bridge may not fit correctly or your other teeth on the sides will start hurting u because the Dr. shaved the down too close to the nerve the good teeth. U really should not base the health of your mouth on the price, look at the Dr's skills and manner he/she would treat your mouth. We all just have one set of teeth, take good care of them as much as u can.
Reply:As for any dental treatment, ask friends, relatives, workmates for their recommendations. Then go and get some quotes from the dentists and talk to them about what you want. See which one you feel most comfortable with, and who gives you the best explanations. And quality or value-for-money is more important than just the bare price. We're not talking about buying a throw-away item here.

For an expensive and long-term item like a bridge, it's well worth spending a little bit of money on a few opinions so that you feel comfortable about your choice of dentist. You'll know the right dentist when you find them.
