Can dental bridges be modified?

can you add a tooth to a dental bridge

Can dental bridges be modified?
That's a great idea!!! But afraid not. Adding to a bridge would cause the strength (integrity) of the bridge to be compromised. I suppose you could search around to see if a dentist would do that for you...but in this state (California) I doubt a dentist would do something like that.

It's not just up to the dentist, though. It's also up to the laboratory who is hired to make the dental offices bridges (crowns, etc).
Reply:I must assume, that when you say dental bridge, that you are talking about a partial denture. If so, then the answer is probably. It all depends on the location of the tooth and it's proximity to the partial. If it's a tooth that a clasp is on then it's easier to add on the tooth. If it's a tooth that is just bordered by the framework then it's a little harder and sometimes not possible. In any case, the tooth has to be near the partial frame someplace.
