My new bridge keeps falling off and I am trying to figure out if I had bad dental work or not??

My bridge fell off before I even left the dental office! They told me to put on Polygrip. So, I did and that would not stay either. I am just trying to see if this is normal or not. There is one missing tooth in the middle that was removed.

your bridge its supposed to stay in place by mechanical means first, this means that it should stay in place with no cement and don't fall off, the cement then fix permanently the bridge to the remaining teeth. ask for a glass ionomer cement it holds better biting forces and delivers fluoride constantly so reduces teeth sensitivity

Reply:DoNOT go to a different dentist unless you want to pay twice. Go back to that one and insist they correct the bridge so that it doesn't fall out (which it should NOT do). If you are not assertive enough, take a friend or relative (preferably male) who IS.
Reply:Countess is right! I cannot believe it fell out before you left the dental office,it sounds like the dentist did not even cement it in.You go back at politely demand they recement it.
Reply:Since they told you to use Polygrip, and only one tooth is missing, I'm guessing your 'bridge' is really either a flipper or a partial denture...





Make an appointment to go back, and tell them you are not satisfied with what was made for you... hopefully they'll either adjust it or remake it.





..........and they shouldn't charge you for the visit.
