I have a partial and I would advise the dental implant. Getting use to a partial or a bridge is tedious. It effects your speech and your eating things you bite into, like apples or corn on the cob. They can be a real pain and if they break, you're without your teeth until the repairs can be made. So there goes your smile. With the implant, you don't have to worry about all of that. It might be sore for a little while, but that will pass shortly and you can still bite into an apple with no problem. I have a huge phobia of the dentist and if it were to do over again, I would opt to get the dental implants for myself. You don't really want a bridge. Keep smiling!
Bridge or dental implant to replace a tooth affecting your smile?
i have chosen a bridge because it was cheeper.
Reply:Dental implant.
Reply:i say if you can afford it i would definitely go with the dental implant because they insert it up inside your gum like your real teeth and it will be more secure. i've got braces on my top and bottom teeth right now preparing my mouth for a bridge. but if i could afford it i would definitely have dental implants. i know people that has them and they look so natural. good luck on whatever you decide.
Reply:How rich are you/ The implant will be around three grand. Then you have to have a crown. another 1,000 to 1,500. They are not gauranteed. Bridge is a three crown fee deal - so if the crowns are 800 it's 2400. The bridge must be kept clean by floss under it every day with out fail. I patirnt told me he wished he had never done the implant because ti felt funny, and wasn't worth the pain and agrevation. He had to go without the tooth for six months while everything healed. Some implants don't take at all. I would need to know from my dentists - are my habits good enough to help ensure implant success. Same on the bridge are you a good brusher? It's always worth the money in your mouth. Most insurances do not cover the implant or the crown for an implant.
