Is ther a limit on how many teeth you can have in a dental bridge?

The gap should not be more than 2, otherwise it will not hold up or last that long. I really don't believe that one should have a bridge made with 16 teeth on it.

I have been wearing bridges and crowns holding them up for the last 20 years.

No, you can have 2 -16. It depends on your need. It is much better than something removable, by far! What is your dentist suggesting?
