I'm 24 years old and just had my braces taken off and have a missing tooth. I Don't want to do implant surgery so I'm wondering what other options I have. What's the safest/sturdiest? What do you reccommend?
Dental Bridge? Maryland Bridge? Dental Flipper?
Which tooth is missing??? What do the adjacent teeth look like? Hold the x-ray up to the monitor, please.
Most of the time, I'd agree that an implant is the better choice, but can't really say without a lot more information.
Reply:implant, nothing else
Reply:i agree implants are the best they last longer don't cause much bone loss in the long run. but if you want the best for you buck try and get a bridge a "flipper" can cause problems later for you if you don't take care of your teeth. for example cavities, gum recession.
Reply:Dental implants are your best bet.
Single Tooth Restorations
-Restorations for patients who are missing one tooth-
Many people have lost just one tooth... very often due to an accident and this is one of the most challanging situations for your dentist. To replace a single tooth, especially a front tooth, demands great skill and total understanding of all of the concepts that go into cosmetic dentistry. When this is done with dental implants, there is little room for error.
